# Agistri Hotels & Villas: Where to Stay

> A guide to where to stay on Agistri in the Saronic Gulf, from the Laza Beach Inn, Yialos Studios and Aktaion by the Skala sands to the clifftop Hotel Kekrifalia and Agistri Club at Skliri and Rosy's Little Village above its own cove; family-run rooms and studios, mostly in and around Skala.

**Accommodation on Agistri is small-scale and family-run, gathered mostly in and around the port village of Skala, with a handful of clifftop hotels at Skliri and a few quiet places among the pines.** Laza Beach Inn, Yialos Studios, Aktaion, Vasilaras and Hotel Andreas sit by the Skala sands; Hotel Kekrifalia and the Agistri Club look over the sea from Skliri; and Rosy's Little Village perches above its own cove near Chalikiada. Nearly all are a short ferry from Piraeus and 10 minutes from Aegina.

Most of Agistri's rooms sit at **Skala**, where the ferries dock and the beaches run along the north coast. The **Laza Beach Inn** is a guest house with its own private beach, ten double rooms with air conditioning, an LCD TV, a small fridge, a private bathroom and a balcony with sea views, with breakfast served at the Yialos taverna — under an hour from Piraeus and ten minutes from Aegina. The traditional **Aktaion Hotel** stands on the main beach with a pool and a sun-lounger terrace, its air-conditioned rooms opening to balconies over the pool or the Saronic Gulf, a few minutes from the port. **Hotel Vasilaras**, a charming family-run place near the sandy beach, sets most of its rooms on the edge of the pine forest with many sea views, includes a continental breakfast and keeps a well-regarded taverna, a five-minute walk from Skala's centre; and **Hotel Andreas**, 200 metres from the port, offers good-value double rooms, three-bed studios and family apartments, all with air conditioning, a TV, a fridge, a private bathroom and a balcony.

Just south of Skala, the dramatic **Skliri** coast holds two hotels on the cliffs above the sea. **Hotel Kekrifalia** sits on a hill right next to the water within 200 metres of Skala port, with panoramic views of the Saronic Gulf and the harbour, stylish air-conditioned rooms with private balconies, sea views and a kitchenette, and a restaurant, a bar and a library; it is well reviewed and a five-minute walk from the tavernas and minimarkets. The **Agistri Club Hotel** stands among the pines on a cliff 15 metres above the sea, every room looking out over neighbouring Aegina, with a private cove a minute away and the naturist beach of Chalikiada a five-minute walk through the trees. Both trade the bustle of the waterfront for quiet, views and a swim straight off the rocks.

## Studios, villas & self-catering

For self-catering or something a little apart, Agistri has a few studios and village-style retreats. **Yialos Studios**, a minute from the centre of Skala yet set back in a quiet spot, offer spacious rooms — doubles up to family rooms for four — each with air conditioning, a large balcony, a private bathroom, a TV and a separate fully equipped kitchen, a rarity on the island, with their own private beach and taverna 500 metres away. **Rosy's Little Village** is built like a traditional Greek village above its own rocky beach near Chalikiada, its 14 double and 2 family rooms all with a balcony and sea view, air conditioning, a small fridge and a TV, with free sunbeds, a sailing boat and canoes for guests. **Akrogiali Studios** add affordable seafront self-catering apartments in Skala, each with a balcony over the Aegean and the mountains, close to the beaches, shops and bus.

## Choosing a base

Where to stay on Agistri comes down to how much life you want at the door. Choose **Skala** — Laza Beach, Aktaion, Vasilaras, Yialos or Hotel Andreas — to be on the sands with the ferries, tavernas, minimarkets and the open-air cinema a short walk away. Pick **Skliri**, with Hotel Kekrifalia or the Agistri Club, for clifftop sea views and a quiet swim off the rocks, still within reach of Skala. Head to **Rosy's Little Village** for a village-style retreat above its own cove near the naturist beach, or to **Megalochori** for the island's quietest, most traditional corner. All are a short ferry from Piraeus and 10 minutes from Aegina, with one island bus, a minitrain and a single taxi to get you around. The beaches near each are set out in the [Agistri beaches guide](https://fly2greece.net/agistri-beaches.html).
