Antiparos is reached by way of Paros: daily ferries from Rafina and Piraeus near Athens sail to Paros in about 4 to 5 hours, and a short crossing then takes you across to Antiparos in 10 to 30 minutes. There are no large ferries direct to Antiparos, so the island stays quiet. For where to stay once you arrive, see the Antiparos hotels page.

How to get to Antiparos

Antiparos is reached easily from Rafina or Piraeus near Athens, where daily ferries sail to the Cyclades. The journey to Paros takes about 4 to 5 hours, depending on the speed of the boat and its schedule. From Paros you then cross to Antiparos: either a small ferry from the town of Parikia in about 30 minutes, or a taxi or bus to Pounta in the south of Paros and the car ferry there, which takes about 10 minutes. Regular buses run to the ferry at Pounta and get you there in time, both coming and going.

Ferries to the Cyclades

Regular ferries, both normal and superfast, run from Rafina and Piraeus to Paros; in high season it is worth checking the times and prices and booking a ticket ahead, especially for a superfast crossing. From Athens airport regular buses run to Rafina, so you avoid driving through Athens - the ride takes about half an hour, or you can take a taxi. It is also possible to fly to Mykonos and reach Paros and Antiparos from there in about one and a half hours by ferry.
