A hire car lets you see much of Patmos in a day or two, and the firm this site rented from is Tassos Rent a Car, near the port where the ferries dock. Patmos is a small island, so a car for a single day already takes you around most of it. Tassos rented us a nice, clean car at a fair price, and it is easy to reach on foot straight off the ferry.

Renting a car on Patmos
A hire car is the quickest way to see Patmos, so even on a two-day visit you can drive around and take in as much as possible. There are a few car rentals near the port, and the ones we used charged the same price. Tassos Rent a Car is the one we prefer.

Finding the rental
Tassos is easy to find on foot from the ferry. By the harbour there is a small square with some bushes and a few benches, and in the small street just behind it you find Tassos Rent a Car. It is only a short walk from where you step off the boat.
