Ayioi Apostoloi and Petries are situated on the eastern side of the island of Evia, at about 65 kilometer distance of the capital Chalkida. There is a small fishing port with cafes and tavernas and on the eastern side of the village lies the beach of Kakolimano which is surrounded by trees (for the shade), and which consists mainly of coarse sand and some pebbles. Next to the harbour you find the large beach of Ayioi Apostolis and just south of the village there are a number of other beaches to be found such as the beach of Klimaki. In the village of Ayioi Apostolis there are also a number of accommodations and a supermarket. The area is quite popular with the inhabitants of Athens.

Petries is a small village which is situated a few kilometers west of Ayioi Apostolis and you drive through it when you are on your way to the coast and the beaches of Ayioi Apostolis. There are still quite some traditional stone houses here and there is a panoramic view over the bay.
