The house was fully renovated in 2008, keeping faith with the traditional character of the property. Because it is a part of the 16th century castle, recognized as an official Monument by the Greek government, the renovation was carried out under the supervision of the Ephorate of Byzantine Antiquities.
The two bedrooms are on the 1st floor, each with an individual entrance and are connected to the main bathroom and kitchen through interior stairs.
The bedroom on the west has 2 single beds and one sofa-bed, TV, DVD player, ceiling fan and a balcony with stairs leading to Sotira Square, with its Cycladic style churches.
The bedroom on the east has one double bed, an armchair that can become a bed, ceiling fan, traditional fireplace, WC and a balcony with stairs to the impressive ruins of the interior of the castle.
No air-conditioning is available due to restrictions imposed by the Ephorate of Byzantine Antiquities. However, the thick stone walls (0.5 / 1 meter) and the double insulation on the roof, make the house very pleasant even on the hottest of summer days. Nevertheless, if there is a person who needs extra care (such as a baby), contact us in order to provide you with a mobile air conditioning unit.
Prices are from 630 to 1470 euro a week depending on the season and the number of people (2011). For long stays there is a discount.
