Koropi is a small and picturesque village situated on the western side of the Pelion peninsula, which lies in the extension of the nearby village of Kala Nera. It is located a few kilometers south of this coastal resort. Between Kala Nera and Koropi you can find the beach of Kato Lechonia. The distance to the capital city of Volos is about 20 kilometers.
Koropi has a large sandy beach which is one and a half kilometer long and which is called Boufa beach. On Boufa beach there are sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. South of this beach a river ends up into the sea, and below is another long and narrower beach called Ramnos beach. In the village of Koropi there are a number of shops, tavernas and accommodations for tourists. Most tavernas specialize in seafood. The village is surrounded by green fields and woodland. The region is known for the famous Krystallia pears that are grown here.
Area attractions include the ancient Koropi which was called Paliopyrgos at that time, and the remnants of the oracle of Apollo, situated in the vicinity of Ramnos along the main road. South of Koropi, about 4 kilometers away is the popular resort of Afissos.
