The village of Mouresi is located in the northeast of the Pelion peninsula at about 45 kilometers from the capital city of Volos, near the popular resort of Agios Ioannis. Tsagarada is located three kilometers south of the village. Mouresi is situated at an altitude of about 350 meters high, overlooking several villages in the area and the sea.
The beach of the village of Mouresi is located in Damouchari, which lies in a bay below. Here is also the only natural harbor in the northeast of the Pelion peninsula. Until about 1600 most residents lived here on the coast and then they moved to the current village in the hills.
