Psili Ammos Beach, Samos: A Sandy Beach near Limnionas
Psili Ammos, which means “fine sand”, is a large, relatively quiet sandy beach in the south-west of Samos, east of Limnionas near Marathokampos. Three beaches on Samos share the name Psili Ammos; this one is one of the better beaches on the island, with sunbeds and umbrellas for rent on part of it and plenty of open sand for everyone else.

Psili Ammos Beach
Psili Ammos in the south-west of Samos, east of Limnionas, is a large sandy beach and one of the better beaches on the island. It stays relatively quiet compared with many others on Samos. Sunbeds and umbrellas are for rent on part of the beach, while the rest is left open for people who bring their own towels, so there is plenty of room for everybody. A taverna sits above the beach along the road, and there is a hotel, Blue Horizon, where you can rent a room, studio or apartment.
The three Psili Ammos beaches
Samos has three beaches called Psili Ammos, all named for their fine sand. The best known is a sandy beach in the south-west near Pythagorion, where the sea shelves gently and you have to walk out a little to reach deeper water, which makes it popular with families with small children; it has tavernas and rents out sunbeds and parasols.
