Excursions and day trips from the island of Samos in Greece

On and around the island of Samos there are several possibilities for makin excursions, for instance:
- a day trip to the nearby island of Patmos.
- a day trip to Efeze, the antique town in Turkey, and the coastal town of Kusadasi.
- an excursion around the island by bus, during which you will get a good impression of the whole island of Samos, and you will see some nice beaches and villages.
- a day trip around the island by boat including a visit to a beach.
- a jeepsafari to the less known Samos.
- a boattrip along the southcoast includig a picnic.

- a day trip by boat from Pythagorion to the nearby beach island Samiopoula with captain Andreas (on the sign it says on tuesdays and thursdays, but this might maybe vary, check it in the harbour of Pythagorion where you can also buy the tickets). Nowadays there are more boats offering day trips to this island on different days of the week, so it is a good plan to walk along the harbor of Pythagorion and see what suits you best. It's also not a bad plan to compare prices and see what is included in the trip and what not.
- a day trip to the island of Agathonissi.

Al these excursions you can book on the island at the Travel Agencies in the villages of Samos (Kokkari, Votsalakia, Pythagorion, Vathy).

For this day trip you have to rise early and it will take up all day. You go from Samos to Turkey by boat, to the harbor of Kusadasi where you can have a look around and do some shopping and you will visit the old town of Efeze.
