Where to pick up a car in Pelion
You can hire a car in the Pelion villages and at Volos, the gateway town at the foot of the peninsula, and many agencies deliver to your hotel. Pelion has no airport of its own, so drivers arrive through Volos.

Driving in Pelion
Pelion driving is on the right, like the rest of Greece, and the roads are narrow and winding rather than fast. Roads twist between the mountain villages of Makrinitsa, Tsagarada and Zagora and down to the Aegean beaches on the east coast. A smaller car is the easier choice for tight village streets and steep gradients.
