Ilingas beach near the village of Chora Sfakion on the island of Crete
This lovely pebble beach is situated in the south of the island of Crete at the end of the Ilingas gorge, at a distance of approximately 2 kilometer from Chora Sfakion. On the beach there is a small hotel with a taverna where you can rent a room or get something to eat and drink.
Ilingas is a quiet beach and on the east side of the beach there is a cave where you can find some shade. There is space here on the beach for naturists as well.
Besides the taverna there are no facilities on the beach, and you will not find sunbeds or umbrellas here. It is a place for people that are looking for tranquillity. The beach of Ilingas is quite large, so even in high season there should be plenty of room. On the east side of Ilingas beach there is another, smaller beach which can only be reached by boat or by swimming.

Just 100 metres from the beach of Ilingas, Ilingas Hotel offers a traditional restaurant. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and balcony overlooking the Libyan Sea and the mountains. Each room at the Ilingas provides a refrigerator. The private bathroom comes with a shower. The on-site restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Taverns and bars can be found 1 km away. There is a supermarket within a 10-minute walk. Sfakia Port is 1 km away. Souda Airport is 37 km away.
