Map of Crete Livadia Beach is a beach that lies on the edge of town of Kastelli Kissamos, at about 1 kilometer distance of the center of the town. It is located on the east side of the town at a short distance from the main road that leads to Kissamos. Livadia Beach is probably one of the best beaches in the area. Like all beaches in this area it is quiet here. Livadia beach cannot be seen from the main road and there are not that many tourists in this part of the island. There are hardly any facilities on the beach in the form of a tavern or a rental of sunbeds and parasols.

Livadia Beach is a sort of a large beach (2 kilometers long) and it consists of sand with some pebbles. The waters of the beach are shallow, so it is easy to get into the sea. Here and there on the beach of Livadia the rare and protected white beachlily is growing. Update 2013: a few sunbeds and umbrellas have been spotted here and I hear there is also a tavern on the beach.
