The beach of Keratokambos in the south of Crete

This elongated, mostly of pebbles and boulders consisting beach, lies in the south of Crete and can be reached via the route Heraklion - Knossos - Peza - Arkalohori and then through different routes further south. The distance to Heraklion is about 75 kilometers. It is located just east of the beaches of Tsoutsouros, Dermatos, Listis and Kastri, in a row of beautiful linked beaches on this part of the south coast. The roads in this area are now good and the beach is easy to reach without many problems. The village of Keratokampos itself is small, with only a few buildings, but there are a number of tavernas, kafenions and shops and of course there is also a small church

The beach of Keratokambos is almost divided into two by a rock, but if you walk to what you at first think is the end of the beach, you will notice that behind the rock at the end there is another long beach. Since the beaches are so long and so quiet, we have been swimming without our bathing textiles here, but I do not know for sure if the beach is regularly visited by naturists. In and around Keratokampos (also in the nearby village of Kastri) are some accommodations for the tourists that want to rent rooms and apartments, and also there are a few holiday houses on offer.
